The theme of this year’s contest is “Happiness is…”
Submit a photo entry and win fabulous prizes! Prize-winning entries and select photo entries will be displayed in the 2021 Virtual Exhibition hosted on this webpage after the submission deadline—so keep this page bookmarked! The name of the photographer and the title of each photo will be displayed with the photo.

Prizes
Barnes and Noble Gift Cards will be given out to the top three (3) winners, along with three (3) honorable mentions. The value of the gift cards are as follows:
- 1st prize: $50.00
- 2nd prize: $40.00
- 3rd prize: $30.00
- Honorable Mentions: $20
Rules
Who can enter: All patrons with a valid Mercer County Library card – professional photographers are excluded.
Photos will be judged on quality, creativity, and its ability to relate to the theme.
All photo entries must be original photographs – no Photoshop or equivalent.
Format: Photographs should be in digital format and no more than 1 MB in size.
Submissions: Submit your photo as a jpeg attachment emailed to contests@mcl.org with the subject “Amateur Photo Contest”. Please include your:
- Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Submission Title: Using no more than six words, complete the caption: “Happiness is …..”
Number of submissions: One entry per person
