John C. Raines has been on the THA Board of Commissioners since 2014 and served as Chairperson in 2015.

 

Mr. Raines is currently the Deputy Director of Operations for the Mercer County One-Stop Career Center in Trenton, NJ. In this capacity, he is responsible for the procurement, human resources, customer relations and contract management. His previous experiences have included working with IBM, a leading Fortune 500 computer corporation, in addition to having worked as a manager in the hospitality industry.

 

Mr. Raines has served as an active member of the Democratic Party for 34 years. In 2000, he was appointed to be the Committee Person in West 11. Mr. Raines is an Ordained Deacon at Union Baptist Church.

 

He is the proud uncle of nine nieces and nephews. He is a dedicated worker, faithful friend and a humble servant who proudly serves his community and family. He is a life-long resident of Trenton, NJ, attended Rider University in Lawrence, NJ, and Bentley College in Waltham, MA, as an accounting major.

To begin the application process, you need:

  • Social Security number of other acceptable proof of citizenship.
  • Names and dates of birth of all family members to live in household

The Application Process

Complete your pre-application

During this phase, we confirm your eligibility with a series of background questions so we can place you on the list for one of our communities.

Complete your full application

When you are at the top of the housing list, we work with you to confirm all HUD and THA eligibility factors. All adult family members living in household must complete personal declaration and information release forms. Then you get to meet with THA staff to review, finalize and sign your application. Once you’re approved, we can schedule your move in!
