Section 3

Section 3 involves helping to foster local economic development, neighborhood economic improvement, and individual self-sufficiency. THA has a Section 3 Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating Section 3, employment, business, and vendor outreach and services. The Section 3 Coordinator also serves as a  liaison with the One-Stop Career Center, service providers, employers, community or civic organizations, public officials, and the general public.

THA has collaborated with Laborers Local 55 Union to develop a Residential Construction Trainee program for THA residents. This trainee program will
introduce participants to a wide variety of concepts, tools and skills that are important to begin a successful career as a Construction Craft Laborer. Based
on completion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to join the Laborers Local 55.
