Security Guard - 1 Opening

Summary:   Trenton Housing Authority is looking for a strong and dedicated individual to join our Security Department.  This individual will be responsible for protecting the property of the Trenton Housing Authority from fire, theft and vandalism, as well as illegal and unauthorized entry onto various Trenton Housing Authority premises.  In addition, the Security Guard will be responsible for protecting persons therein from harm. Duties include patrolling the grounds either on foot or in a vehicle and inspecting the buildings to detect any hazards and so forth.  Must be able to work nights and weekends. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of various machinery and/or performing construction. Must possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.  Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in security. 

 

Maintenance Repairer - 2 Openings

Summary:   Under direction performs a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks involved in masonry, plastering, carpentry, painting, plumbing, steam fitting, sheet metal, electrical, glazing, mechanical and/or other types of maintenance work, does related work as directed.

SOME ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of various machinery and/or performing construction. Must possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey. Candidates who wish to be considered for the position must pass a basic skills aptitude test.
